< Agus Batara Quartet

Instrumental, Jazz
Victoria
Agus Batara - keys; Jonathon Moore - guitar; Anthony Pell - bass; Sebastian Jego - drums.
"The band blends Agus’s unique song writing style infused with Jonathon’s melodic guitar sound. Agus’s compositions often evoke an imaginative landscape, or story beyond his harmonic or rhythmic ideas. The band came into formation in 2017 prior to their performances at the Castlemaine Jazz Festival and later that year at the Halls Gap Jazz Festival.
Agus stumbled into jazz piano through Melbourne's jazz icon; Steve Sedergreen with whom he studied for several years. During 2010-2011, he was fortunate enough to study piano performance at the LCCM-London under the guidance of Roland Perrin, Sid Gauld (Incognito), and Roberto Pla. On separate occasions Agus also had a personal mentorship from a Sydney-based pianist; Mark Isaacs, and UK-based pianists including Michael Garrick, Simon Purcell, Alex Wilson, and Zoe Rahman." - Facebook.
